Today, he has established the largest in stock horse trailer inventory on the West Coast.
Rick attributes his success to the legendary Steens Kiger horse, which opened doors to incredible business opportunities and invaluable lifelong relationships. Since 1970, Rick has built businesses and forged connections that have taken him far and wide. He credits many of these relationships for his personal and business successes.

With over 30 years of experience, Tara Crawford is a pro trainer who has guided both horses and riders to win world titles across five different breeds and multiple disciplines. At KMR Trailer Sales and Service, Tara is our all-around expert, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the trailer industry and a strong background in fabrication.

Whether it's a complex fabrication task or a critical repair, Matt leads his team to approach each job with a level of expertise and precision that is truly remarkable. Matt takes pride in his specialty skill for generator installations. Matt has been a crucial part of KMR Trailers for the past decade. At KMR Trailers, we do everything from winterization, wheel bearing packs, maintenance, brakes, and lights to installing generators, electrical repair, installing WERM floors, and fabrication.
Bobby Ingersoll, a seasoned horseman with multiple Snaffle Bit Futurity wins, values being recognized for his understanding of horses and people. His philosophy, rooted in the Spanish tradition, emphasizes the heart and mind of the horse.
Rick and Bobby met through the Kiger horse breed, with Bobby training Kiger Cougar. The two each rode their Kiger’s out into the wild, to see other Kiger’s in the wild. From that day on they had something between them they’d never forget. Their mutual trust has led to a lasting business relationship and friendship. In 1990, Bobby first saw Kiger Cougar, a colt with natural instincts, and began training him for reined cow horse competitions. Cougar's success, including a notable performance at the World Championship Snaffle Bit Futurity, showcased the capabilities of the Kiger Mustang.
Bobby's experiences with Cougar deepened his understanding of horses' natural habits, reinforcing his belief in the importance of feel in horsemanship.

Our riders and horses have achieved over $2 million in NCHA earnings, and we travel extensively to compete. Mary Makenna Olney, who grew up on the Warm Springs Reservation, developed a deep love for animals, rodeo, and the western way of life while engaging with her rich native culture. She graduated with honors from Madras High School in 2019, actively participating in various sports, clubs, and leadership roles. After high school, Mary pursued a welding certification at Tulsa Welding School and worked in fabrication to support herself and her horses. Recently, she transitioned to a career as a certified nursing assistant, gaining valuable patient care experience as she works towards her goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. In her spare time, Mary enjoys helping her community, spending time with her horses, and participating in trail rides and gaming competitions.
In 2025, Mary will travel extensively as an ambassador for Oregon’s western heritage and lifestyle, representing the Oregon rodeo and Miss Rodeo Oregon Inc. Foundation. She will also compete in the Miss Rodeo America contest in Las Vegas in December 2025.

Johanna Siefert, owner of Lionheart Training LLC, is an FEI level Grand Prix Showjumping rider, young horse developer, and coach. Based in Banks, OR, Lionheart Training competes across the US and Canada, trailering many miles to reach high-level competitions. Since 2013, Johanna has worked with Rick, purchasing all her trailers from KMR.

Tenley's Enterprises, based in Terrebonne, Oregon, excels in training, showing, coaching, breeding, and promoting Cow Horses. They boast a robust non-pro and youth program and train several aged event horses annually. Competing nationwide in the National Reined Cow Horse Association, Tenley’s favorite aspect of this lifestyle is raising her daughters, Kinsey and Ellie, within the Cow Horse Family. They are surrounded by wonderful people while learning and competing.
